Lakeview Fire District

Lakeview Fire District is always looking for new volunteers. While Lakeview Fire District has paid firefighters we still rely mostly on volunteers. Do I need to live in the fire district to volunteer?
Yes you must live in the Fire District to volunteer.

How old do I have to be to volunteer?
You must be 19 to volunteer. If your are under 19 please visit the Explorer page.


How often is training?

Training is every Thursday night from 6:30 pm until 8:30pm at station 1. You are expected to attend.

How often am I expected to run calls?
There are no set requirements just make calls as you are able.

Will I be in any danger?
There are certain situations that may pose a danger to you, however, you will be provided with the training and equipment to help keep you safe.


Can I drive the truck?

After you start volunteering you may be instructed on how to drive the truck.

Do I have to have any previous training?

No. The fire department will provide training for you once you join. You  will be expected to attend the required training sessions including a CPR class.
